Post Modernism First Part

Our first post modernism element occurs at 1:20. It isn't a reference to another video source but is a play with the timing of a piece of footage. In this clip the actor throws a rock into the sea, half way through the arc of the throw the rock then comes back to the actors hand and then she throws it again. As if she is throwing it twice. This represents not having second chances in life as is represented in the lyrics as the girl is singing about a boy leaving her. We included it as we knew it would be a post modern element but also it raises questions.

We have received a lot of feedback both positive and negative about this clip but we have decided to include it in the final version of the video as we believed that there was enough reason for us to do so. The negative feedback we received was that it wasn't understood in the context of the song. The positive feedback we received was of people understanding it and it worked with the pacing of the song and as a clear post modern element.
